This week is national Volunteers Week, and we want to take the opportunity to thank all the volunteers registered on our volunteering platform who all make such an important contribution to our communities.
We are delighted to currently have 60,000 volunteers registered on our volunteering platform across the country.
That’s 60,000 people who have all registered with one of our community partners to give their time to support local charities and voluntary groups, or to get involved with public events and activities that help to make their community a better place to live.
We think that’s pretty amazing!
To all these volunteers we want to say a huge THANK YOU for making such a big difference to our local communities, and to people’s lives.
A week of celebrations
Throughout the week our community partners have been holding events to recognise the contribution of their local volunteers, and to showcase the amazing work that they do.
From volunteer fairs, tea parties, award ceremonies, recruitment fairs, and even a 50th birthday party – it’s been a great week of celebrating all things volunteering!
