Emergency funding available for charities during COVID-19 crisis
The National Lottery Community Fund
Open from 22 May, the National Lottery is also distributing new funding on behalf of the Government to support community organisations supporting COVID-19. The funds can be used towards running costs, organisational development and investing in new systems and infrastructure to support new ways of working.

Youth Futures Foundation
£10m to be awarded to the Youth Futures Foundation to develop an Emergency Levelling Up Youth Fund.
Big Society Capital
£45m to be deployed by Big Society Capital to help investments and as emergency loans for those with cashflow issues
Access – Foundation for Social Investment
£30m to Access – The Foundation for Social Investment support social enterprises helping people in vulnerable circumstances. The words ‘social lenders’ and ‘flexible finance’ are used.

Government Financial Support
Comprehensive charity guidance on all the initiatives is available on the Charity Tax Group Coronavirus hub.
Charities are included in the Government’s coronavirus wage scheme – access 80% of workers’ wages for those who would otherwise have been made redundant.
Local Authority Funding
£2.9 billion is available to support vulnerable people, including people who are homeless during the COVID-19 crisis. Find out more.
National Funding Scheme
National Funding Scheme has created 3 matched funding appeals for food banks, the homeless and the elderly. Funding will be donated to charities.
Crowdfunder
Free fundraising on the Crowdfunder platform for charity and community groups raising money to support their work during the crisis.
UK Wide Funders
Arts Council England
Emergency funding package and support has been announced for funded organisations and individuals.
Cadent Foundation
Supporting charities and community groups in the Midlands, North West England, South Yorkshire, East of England and North London, with individual grants of between £100 and £100,000. Open until 31 May 2020. Find out more.
Care Workers Crisis Grants
Emergency funding for care to provide emergency financial aid to care workers who are self-isolating.
Clothworkers COVID-19 Emergency Capital Programme
Small capital grants of up to £5,000 available for essential capital items to adapt or increase services in response to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. Priority will be given to organisations supporting vulnerable and ‘at risk’ groups within our programme areas during this period.

National Lottery Heritage Fund announces £50m emergency coronavirus fund
The funding is available to organisations across the full breadth of heritage, including historic sites, industrial and maritime heritage, museums, libraries and archives, parks and gardens, landscapes and nature.
B&M Stores Support for Foodbanks
To provide a local foodbank with a £1,500 donation, so they can buy essential groceries, cleaning goods and toiletries. The foodbank needs to be a registered charity and one foodbank per store is eligible. Please email foodbank@bmstores.co.uk with details of your foodbank, stating the registered charity number, the registered address and the full name of the representative authorised to collect the donation. Please also state your preferred nearby B&M branch that you wish to visit.
London Community Response Fund
London Community Response Fund is now open to applications, with a focus on supporting VCS organisations providing food and other essentials to vulnerable Londoners during COVID-19. Flexible grants of up to £5,000 are available to VCS organisations to cover costs.
Neighbourly
Micro-grants of up to £400 are available to support good causes that are helping communities affected by the new Coronavirus outbreak.
The National Emergencies Trust
NET has launched a coronavirus fundraising appeal to raise funds for local charities. The British Red Cross will be managing donations.

Emergency funding coordinated by London Funders is available to organisations facing immediate financial pressures and uncertainty because of the coronavirus. These include increasing demands for services, higher staff absences, fewer volunteers and lower donations.
